Middle Leadership: Sustainable Performance

Two stylized green leaves

For current and new middle leaders — the transition from being good at the job to leading a team. Workshops on a range of leadership areas, for example, conducting performance reviews, giving and receiving feedback, hosting effective meetings, strategic time management, and leading change. Action learning groups are set up as a support and accountability measure to assist with transfer of learning back to the day job.

“A remarkable and highly worthwhile experience.”

— Jane Kavanagh, Dealer, AIB Capital Markets

For current and new senior leaders. The step up from middle to senior leadership is the most under-supported transition in most organisations, and one of the highest-stakes. Bespoke guided workshops, full psychometric profiling with debrief and/or 360° feedback where useful, and a structured action plan.

“Fiona provided excellent professional development opportunities for our senior management. Meticulous and creative planning together with highly skilled facilitation and delivery led to outcomes which continue to benefit us.”

— Elizabeth Muscroft: Deputy Principal, King George V School, Hong Kong

Individual leaders needing focused work around specific areas: interview preparation for senior appointments, executive coaching through significant transitions, bespoke development conversations.

Interview skills coaching is a focused three-session programme for individuals preparing for a senior interview — internal promotion, external move to headship or executive level, or returning to senior work after a pause.

The Chartered Psychologist’s Toolkit

Deployed within engagements as the work requires

Validated personality and motivation questionnaires that map how a leader tends to think, make decisions, relate to others, and perform under pressure. Includes a structured debrief and action planning session.

Psychometric profiling leading to enhanced self-awareness

360° feedback

Structured feedback from manager, peers, direct reports and stakeholders. Includes explicit action-planning — feedback without action is just expensive market research.
